Bridal Skincare Bootcamp Part 2: Products

Hi again!  Skincare can be a complicated matter, what works for one person may not work at all for another.  I'm going to suggest a few products I've worked with on many different women and skin types to give you some examples of great skincare to try out in preparation for your big day!

● Moisturizers (Dry)

These 3 I consistently have great success with for my clients with dry skin.  I personally have extremely dry skin (ie: flaky dry patches if my skincare routine isn't quite right), and all 3 of these have helped solve this problem.  If you prefer your moisturizer to have SPF, just mix a little SPF meant for the face in with your moisturizer before applying.  These moisturizers wear beautifully under makeup!

● Moisturizers (Normal/Oily)

Benefit Triple Performance Emulsion                           Sephora Instant Moisturizer                Garnier Skin Renew Daily Moisture Lotion

Another set of universally successful moisturizers.  I LOVE the scent to Benefit's Triple Performance, but I would avoid it or at least sniff the tester before you make a decision.  Sephora's Instant Moisturizer has a generously sized travel size bottle to try!

● Serums

Jeffrey James Organics Fountain of Youth Serum         Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum                   Bioelements Moisture x10 Serum

Serums are a very important part of skincare, regardless of your skin type.  They make your moisturizer work better and have super concentrated ingredients!  Jeffrey James Fountain of Youth comes in a HUGE bottle, I got mine on sale via Hautelook!  Biolelements Moisturex10 provides tons of hydration while still being lightweight and comfortable.  Mario Badescu's Vitamin C serum is excellent for brightening and tightening the skin.  These are all lightweight enough to smooth over the eyelids, I find putting a bit of serum (usually just what's leftover on your finger tips) over the eyelids before applying your primer makes eyeshadow application much smoother and blend better.

● Eyes

I adore these eye creams!!  The Indie Lee eye balm is a little more heavy duty, but the other two absorb invisibly into the skin and do a great job of waking up that tired eye area.

● Exfoliators (Face)

Scrubs are so important to clean, glowing, and smooth skin!  This Neutrogena scrub is gentle but gets the job done.  PTR scrubs are some of my absolute favorites and they come in HUGE bottles.  Giovanni's D:Tox line is great for all skin types, but especially those who have congestion/acne issues as it draws out the impurities.

● Exfoliators (Body)

Super soft skin for your wedding day and night is a must!  This Bliss scrub is incredible, as you use it it gets activated and starts warming up!  Tree Hut's Shea Sugar scrub incorporates shea butter to help hydrate skin while giving a great exfoliation.

● Cleansers

Cleansers are super important for great skincare.  All 3 of these are suitable for any skin type and do a great job of removing makeup.
